General Information
Where is your office?
At the present time I do not maintain an office. I am in SE Michigan and work remotely with clients via Zoom and the phone. Working virtually has many benefits – it is safe and convenient for both of us, and it enables me to work with non-local clients wherever they may be located.
Workshops take place in classroom and studio spaces around metro Detroit. I take great care in selecting locations that are inspiring and appropriate for the workshop activities. Workshops are in spaces operated by local women-owned businesses.
Horse Wisdom workshops and private sessions take place at a private farm in SE Michigan. This is another women-owned small business.
What are your hours?
Normal business hours are Monday through Friday 9am-5pm by appointment only.
Workshops and classes tend to be on weekends so that employed people can attend without disrupting their work schedule.
When a new client signs on for a program, together we plan out a schedule for our sessions that works with both our schedules, and this occasionally includes evening or weekend appointments.
How do I set up a free consultation?
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept payment by cash and credit/debit cards. We also offer the option of prepayment via email invoicing.
At this time, we do not accept insurance.
What is your cancellation policy?
48-hour advance notice is required when cancelling an appointment. This allows the opportunity for someone else to schedule an appointment.
If you are unable to give us 24 hours’ advance notice, you will be charged the full amount of your appointment. This amount must be paid prior to your next scheduled appointment.
Anyone who either forgets or consciously chooses to forego their appointment for whatever reason will be considered a “no-show.” They will be charged for their “missed” appointment.
If you arrive late, your session may be shortened in order to accommodate others whose appointments follow yours. Depending upon how late you arrive, your therapist will then determine if there is enough time remaining to start a treatment. Regardless of the length of the treatment given, you will be responsible for the “full” session. Out of respect and consideration to your therapist and other clients, please plan accordingly and be on time.

Treatment Session Information
How long does a session last?
Will I feel better after the first session?
How many sessions will I need?
It is impossible to predict how many sessions a client will need. At the end of the first session, we collaborate on a plan of care. In each session, we monitor changes, assess improvement, and evaluate progress relative to goals.
Many clients elect to maintain a regular schedule of sessions to optimize their health and well-being proactively.
What will I experience during my session?
Using light pressure, I place my hands on several locations on your body and head. Each session is unique, as we address what the body presents in that moment. Most clients report sensations of relaxation, expansion, and feelings of peacefulness.
How is this different from a massage?
How long will it take me to get results?
It is impossible to predict outcomes, because the body is a very complex set of systems. Each person is unique in their experiences, traumas, medical background, outlook, and belief system.
What I have seen is that many people who are open to this work begin to see improvement during the first session and frequently have outcomes that exceeded their expectations.

Miscellaneous
As a manual therapist, what is your ‘Superpower’?
Why do you offer Equine Guided Learning? What does that have to do with health and wellness?
Equine Guided Learning (EGL) is experiential learning, and it enables us to lean into the emotional intelligence of the horses to grow our own.
Experiential learning is a very powerful and transformative experience. When we partner with the horses, we have unlimited opportunities to explore a wide range of topics and issues. It is not a mandatory part of working with me, but it is a wonderfully effective tool to have available for my clients.
Why did you become a bodyworker?
When I changed careers, I learned that I had a natural gift for this work. I believe my true calling is to help others.
I also learned that my personal health experience provided me with great insights and wisdom that are valuable to share with others.
What is your education?
I have a BA in psychology and economics from the University of Michigan and graduated from Irene’s Myomassology Institute. I completed core work in CranioSacral Therapy and Somato-Emotional Release from the Upledger Institute International and am a certified Reiki Master Teacher.
I attend annual continuing education courses in excess of the licensing requirements, because I am fully committed to growing professionally and personally to ensure that I have state-of-the-art skills and knowledge to be the best therapist I can be.
If you’re a massage therapist, why don’t you offer massage services?
My years of clinical experience have shown me that different types of bodywork offer different results. I have found massage is effective for temporary relief of common muscle strains and overuse.
More complex issues require a different set of skills and a more sophisticated, multi-faceted approach – and this is what I offer.
